Learn about flowers for kids & toddlers in today’s cherry blossom adventure! Cherry blossoms are so beautiful but did you know they only bloom once a year for 1 to 2 weeks! Cherry blossoms remind us to be thankful for our family and to cherish all that we have in our lives.
On today’s adventure we’ll learn all about cherry blossom flowers and take a look at real cherry blossom flowers in Taiwan. We’ll learn more about cherry blossoms and take a peaceful walk surrounded by cherry blossoms to really reflect and take in the beauty of cherry blossom flowers.
Next we’ll play with interactive flower lights and count all the cherry blossom flowers we find among all different kinds of spring flowers. Cubs will also get the opportunity to see other flowers that bloom during spring and to differentiate them from cherry blossom flowers.
Finally, we’ll do an arts and crafts activity with paper flowers and watch paper cherry blossom flowers open and bloom on their own! Oh how exciting! Is it magic? No, it’s science! Mr Albie will explain how it works and why the paper flowers bloom. We’ll also find out what Mr Albie and the Cubs are thankful for.
Toddlers and preschoolers can learn all about cherry blossom flowers, learn how to count, learn to distinguish between different flowers and learn about the features of cherry blossoms. Cubs will also learn and play using a STEM education (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activity for kids using paper flowers.
